Hunter Leather (Oil-Wax Pull-Up)

The Look & Feel
Hunter leather begins as full-grain cowhide, then soaks in a proprietary mix of natural oils and waxes. As the leather bends or stretches, those oils migrate, producing the signature pull-up effect—subtle colour shifts that make every crease and scratch part of the narrative rather than a flaw. Over time, the surface develops a deep, burnished patina unique to its owner.

The Craft
Our hunter leather is tanned in Kolkata’s century-old workshops, where artisans still rely on slow, hands-on techniques:

• Drum-dyeing in small batches for rich, even colour

• Sun-drying and hand-conditioning to lock in oils without harsh chemicals

• Careful, water-conscious effluent treatment that meets modern environmental standards*
